WW2 Japanese Kyu-Gunto, family mon, Ichihara Nagamitsu

Sales enquiries

In original polish, blade made and signed by Ichihara Nagamitsu, an Imperial Japanese WW2 army field officer's kyu-gunto with family mon of the Maeda Clan.

The 20 3/4 inch (excluding habaki) blade is in original polish and exceptionally good condition; it has a light misty dappling throughout that a light professional polish would remove if required. Everything else is good; the same is in good order as are the twisted wire bindings, and the leather field scabbard is also good. A real gem of a WW2 Japanese officer's sword. A great investment at £1800 as this sword will only appreciate in value. Further / full sized pictures available upon request. The item reference number is B47 (545).
