Sold Item Notice

Clearly gendaito (traditionally forged) with mokume hada (grain) and some ware (forging lines). The blade clearly also with some active service (field sharpening and very slight nicks or rather strike dents to the cutting edge).

The 22 9/16 inch (wakizashi length) nagasa (cutting edge section) blade has pronounced hada and ware, plus some fukure (carbon pits), plus some active combat slight damage to the cutting edge. Because the habaki brass blade collar has slightly split (common issue), the blade is a little loose in the hilt. Everything good but aged.

A gendaito shin gunto for just £? (too late, now sold). Don't leave it too long. Please quote item reference number AE41 (0851). Further / full size images available upon request.
