Sales enquiries

It is rare to get ahold of such a popular iconic British sabre like this in such good condition these days; collectors simply do not let them go and with good reason. This particular 1796P light cavalry officer's sabre is in very good condition, around 80% of the original blue and gilt etching remaining, everything sound, the 32 1/4 blade in superb condition for its age with just a few rust spots thankfully away from the etching and firm in the hilt.

The hilt equally in very good condition for its age, the leather and twisted grip wire bindings very good still; a huge bonus. The steel scabbard is in good condition, a little rust here and there, but not too much. The sabre sheathes and draws well though the original wooden liners for the scabbard are gone, as is typical, so there is a little rattle when sheathed. Further pictures available upon request. Item reference number 950 (410).
