A very rare short sword from a land where the camel meets the crocodile, the Congo (Katanga). A possibly nomadic tribal short sword with camel bone cross section to the hilt and crocodile belly “leather” shoulder strap. The 39.5 cm single edged blade is heavy and well made, sharp and showing clear hammer marks. In very good order, the camel bone cross section with some movement. Bet you can’t find another! So was £? (too late, now sold) is a very sound investment. Full sized photos available upon request. My item reference number is 928 – Box 551-1m.
